We booked this B&B as a stopover on our way down through France. It 's near the Vallee des Singes (Monkey Valley) at Romagne and we wanted to visit there the following morning. We had a beautiful large bedroom with king size bed on the ground floor. Everything was perfect. We'd booked an evening meal- excellent choice-fabulous meal with an... More

We spent 1 night here en route to visit family and wished we could have stayed longer. The room, dressing room and en suite were extremely spacious, spottlessly clean and very comfortable. We admired the beautiful grounds enjoying a cold beer on the terrace before enjoying a delicious meal in the lovely dining room (unfortunately a little chilly for al... More

Thanks very much Steve & Angie for looking after Annette and I on our 3 night stay in September. You provided us with the best value hotel we have ever experienced. No complaints. We will pass all details to our sons when they visit family in the area. See you again.

We spent a week at La Vieille Cure recently with our 10 year old and we had a wonderful Holiday. Steve and Angie were wonderful hosts and they made our stay a memorable one. The 17th Century Presbytery is a charming place with extensive gardens to relax. I have to say the Meal Angie prepared for us was top class... More

We first visited La Vielle Cure about 18 months after it was first opened. Since that time it is clear that Steve and Angie have put in an immense amount of work to make the house and grounds a brilliant place to stay. The rooms are spacious, beds comfortable and the other facilities are second to none. The evening meals... More

I can't agree with some of the reviewers with regard to the noise from the nearby road. Yes the road passes by the village but it honestly did not cause us any problems. The village is quiet at night and on clear nights, the lack of ambient light means a good star show! This is a lovely house with sensitive... More

Shower was not working completely (power shower with too low water pressuere does not work). Free wifi in the lounge with comformtable sofa's, games, music and some very old magazines... More

We found this one on the internet and where only looking for a stop over but La Vielle Cure is much more. Steve and Angie are great hosts and the house is lovely. We had an evening meal and wine which was excellent. Secure parking and a charming town - couple of nice places for a drink. Breakfast was great.... More

Me and my partner have just returned from a weeks holiday staying in the Maison Gabriel. We both had a fantastic time, the accommodation was perfect, the location ideal for days out to Cognac etc and the village had everything we needed. Steve and Angie are fantastic hosts and did everything to make us feel welcome and comfortable. We would... More

The building, the grounds and the rooms are very well decorated, and impeccably clean, a very comfortable bed and nice guest sitting room. However, the shower really can't cope with more than one room/user at a time, the pressure is very low and the water temperature variable. The house is very near the N10, which you can hear all night:... More
