The views are lovely, both of the surrounding farmland and the moor. There are some great walks including a very pleasant one around the farm and down to the local pub which has good food. My stay was very relaxing, everything was very easy going. There was a nice choice of wholesome food for breakfast ,well cooked and tasty. more

Visited Twitchen Farm for the first time and must say it was really enjoyable. Unfortunately could only stay for 2 nights, however we really enjoyed the place. Helen and Jaye are very helpful and really cook delicious breakfasts. The farm enjoys lovely views of the countryside and is centrally situated to explore Exmoor's beauties. Even if the weather was wet... more

Excellent cross between a B&B and a hotel, with nice rooms and good service; we had a family party here and I have to say I was very happy with everything and liked the good quality, homely (rather than hotel) food. more

My partner and 2 year old son stayed at Twitchen Farm over a very wet weekend in March this year. We have stayed at a B&B in the area the previous August so had something to compare it to. Its a lovely farmhouse in a great location but was lacking in atmosphere. Perhaps it was because there were only a... more

We have stayed at Twitchen farm a few times over the last few years, and each year it gets better and better. The location is fantastic, with beautiful views from the farm. You can walk to the local pub at the bottom of the drive and it is convenient for Exmoor site seeing. The breakfasts are great. Food is mainly... more

We have been visiting Helen and Jaye at Twitchen for years. It's superb. Beautiful location, fantastic food, great welcome and superb rooms. A real escape. Lots of their own land to walk on (they supply a map plus info on what’s around), a superb pub (that does great food to) down the road and the enthusiasm of them both to... more

I was a bit apprehensive about staying in a B+B as I find them quite intimate and normally prefer the anonymity a bigger hotel gives you. However we were on a budget and hubby found Twitchen Farm (we booked directly with the B+B for £60 a night for the 2 of us). It was fab. Clean, well presented. The 2... more

We stayed here in a very wet early July. The farm itself is just outside Challacombe about 20 minutes from Barnstaple and approached up a steep private drive. You have marvellous views of Exmoor from the top and it is very quite and peaceful. The farm itself has some lovely nature walks and although not a fully working farm as... more

18 of us (including 8 children) stayed at Twitchen Farm in July 2005. We booked Mole Hall and the Potato House. Everything about Twitchen Farm is great - the rooms and bathrooms are lovely and clean and new and furnished to a really high standard. The views from Mole Hall and the Potato House across the countryside are wonderful. For... more
