We were booked into this hotel as part of a wedding we were attending outside Huntly, our room can only be described as disgusted, it looked like a grotty bedsit, unclean, dirty walls, ripped and cracked walls, radiator was brown - thick with dirt. The furniture was cracked, chipped and grotty. The room was tiny and just disgusting. The bathroom... More

An old hotel in Huntly square. It's rated at 2 star which is absolutely correct. The staff were friendly and food was acceptable. If you need a quick bite then it's adequate. More

Booked for one night for myself and my wife, but on reading reviews was not looking forward to stay. After booking in was pleasantly surprised to find room clean, comfortable and fully serviced. Did not eat in hotel at night but menu looked to have a good selection of meals for guests in nice dining room. Excellent freshly cooked breakfast... More

I am frequent visitor to huntly and have stayed in this hotel on a number of occasions, so I knew it was poor but was prepared to live with it for £40, but never again. Stayed there on hogmany, room was freezing, poxy free standing electric heater (not PAT tested?), bed was cold (and damp because I'm convinced it was... More

This hotel is let down by the poor condition of the bedrooms and the unhelpful attitude of management - it has a run-down look and feel. On the plus side the food is OK and bar/serving staff are friendly. My room (Room 5) was cold (no central heating) and the bathroom was grotty (no shower, strange smell, poor lighting, tatty... More

We stayed at the Huntly Hotel. The hotel staff were very friendly on arrival. The rooms were clean and breakfast was of a good standard. We did not know what to expect but were pleasantly surprised and would deifnately stay here again. The food served in the restaurant was excellent and the service was fast and friendly. We ended up... More

I booked this hotel for two consecutive nights for a friend's wedding. Based on reviews I was prepared for it to be unremarkable, but I am disappointed to say it was the dirtiest hotel I have ever stayed in. I understand it's a family business and that unfavourable reviews may be damaging, but as things stand, I would recommend nobody... More
