It was a great surprise to find that after reading some of the negative reviews of this hotel that they should be updated as they are grossly exaggerated, let me explain my wife our son ,daughter and i decided on a small highland trip for 25th wedding anniversary as we had come to the highlands for our honey moon. It... more

I endorse all the negative comments of other reviewers. Our room was tiny, window was covered in cobwebs and propped open with a tea cup, no tv, dangerously shoogly chair, shower which was leaking down into ceiling of bar, and not room to swing a cat. Paper tablecloths in dining room weren't changed over our stay and the public areas... more

It has been a year since we have returned from our journey to Scotland and had the very unique pleasure of spending a few days at the Loch Duich. We had come for a wedding, 14 of us had the entire place to ourselves including our warm and wonderful hosts Ray and Caroline. Now, I have read many of the... more

I have traveled around Scotland and Europe a lot over the last four years and this is the first time I have EVER taken the time to use this travel platform to recommend something special. I travel to Scotland every year and have experienced many hotels and B&B's.The title says it all. The owners are a husband and wife team... more

what I read in main , many other comments is simply , absolutely true and corresponding to reality. A disaster. The website is tricky!!! Dirty; dusty; awful furniture; incredibly small and uncomfortable room (but the rate was for a standard one!!!); no socket working; odd abat-jour .... Breakfast ...unbelievable. ...when we left, we complained and ...we were more or less... more

Having left a comfortable and reasonably priced B and B in Inverness, my friends and I arrived excitedly at the Loch Duich Hotel - forewarned by the proprietor that the rooms were "small". The rooms were indeed very small - we had both paid the same price, but they had a room with a view of the castle, we had... more

The website advertising this hotel is wildly misleading. The photos give a totally inaccurate picture of the actual quality of the hotel. Everything is done as cheaply as possible, tiny piece of soap in the bathroom, cheapest toilet tissue, plastic cups. Room dusty and cramped and very, very tired (even though we paid for a superior room). Webside didn't mention... more

We last stayed at this hotel 2 years ago.I must say there has been a marked improvement. It is also pleasing to see the outside painted white again instead of the horrible colour it was. Keep up the good work more

Rest assured you will receive a very warm welcome from hosts Raymond and Caroline. This charming hotel nestles on the banks of Lock Duich, overlooking the wonderful castle of Eilean Donan (you may have seen it in Highlander or James Bond). The view of the castle from our room was excellent. The room itself, although small was well equipped and... more

Myself and two fellow teacher friends had decided to embark upon a 'magical highland adventure' as part of our holidays. We had researched our accommodation and, on the basis of the fantastic website description, booked the family room in the Loch Duich Hotel. To say we were disapppointed is an understatement as the room hosted a catalogue of faults: no... more
