My husband and I stayed at this B&B during a few-week trip across the UK. During our travels, we saw it all in hotel stays--the excellent, the "it'll do" and the downright horror show. As we were booking our hotels on the fly since we were not following a planned itinerary, hotel were sometimes a catchers-catch-can. Conchra was one of... More

A wonderfully quiet spot to spend a few days, Conchra House overlooks Loch Long - don't miss the drive along to the end which promises some fantastic walking. Convenient for Skye, Plockton, Eileen Donan Castle etc Conchra is spacious but cosy, with a huge sitting room for guests and bedrooms with fabulous views. Breakfast is fine and great bar food... Didn't feel welcomed at all was only really spoken to when ordering breakfast, no "How did you sleep?" "Did you enjoy breakfast?". Room without a view was small, clean very but basic. Wobbly toilet and hole in bathroom floor. Remote location, hard to find in dark drove past it 6 times. Breakfast? no thank you!!!! Scrambled eggs mega yucky and... More

This B&B was in a beautiful location, but the accommodation itself was just average. It was clean, but the water pressure in the shower was weak, the bed was a bit lumpy, and the breakfast was forgettable. We did meet some very nice fellow travelers in the common room, which made this part of our trip more memorable. More

We had two rooms for six nights and had a wonderful time in Conchra. We had only one day of rain and we managed to go and see Skye, Eileen Donan, a fabulous walk which Sue kindly gave us the information on, Culloden up by Inverness, Plockton which is just fabulous! (have a meal in the Plockton Hotel!) and we... More

I agree with both the positive and negative observations by previous contributors. Fine location, quite helpful owners and really good breakfast. The place is in sore need of internal maintenance and refurbishment (I would estimate the decor to be 1970s), hence the lower rating, particularly as regards value. More

5 of us travelled from Hertford to Conchra house and were amazed at the quality of the rooms, the house and the breakfast. Sue and David are extremely welcoming, genuine and lovely people to be with. The rooms were in great condition, very clean and spacious. Hard to imagine that you were staying at a B&B. We have stayed at... More

Charming guest house with excellent view of a loch and the mountains. Good base as Skye is only a short drive away. Pubs and restaurants are about a mile away in Dornie. Clean, average sized bedroom with good views. En suite clean and looked newly installed. Tasty, generous breakfast. Spacious and comfortable lounge area with TV and wireless Internet access.... More

Lovely old house with views across Loch. Wonderfully peaceful although a bit out of Kyle. Very hospitable owners, comfortable rooms and excellent breakfast. Large shared sitting room on the ground floor with good facilities for rainy days! We had a couple of very enjoyable days' stay while exploring SKye More
