We've stayed in the Glenelg area for several years and have visited the Glenelg Inn on a few occasions. No one will challenge the beauty of the surrounding countryside which is simply stunning. The inn should offer the perfect complement of being the warm and charming local traditional inn - but its anything but that. The current owner's seem to... More

We stayed here while filming a documentary with the BBC on Cattle Droving. Great food, great welcome and great rooms. More

Nice place to go for a drink or dinner but not the best place to stay. Its very very rural and takes about half hour until you get to the main road. Close to the ferry for skye. More

This would be a good place to go for dinner or drinks but I would not recommend the accomodation. The food is good and the service was also good but the room was disapointing. It is £120 B&B and at that price I expect better. There was a large bloody stain on the mattress cover which was clearly visible through... More

Had a lovely large, warm room with great view over the water to Skye and large bathroom with sunken bath! Food was excellent - seafood very fresh - we had scallops and langoustines. A shame that despite my request for dairy free food the staff didn't listen and served me a steak with a creamy peppercorn sauce. So I had... More

We stayed in a cottage in Glenelg village and visited the Inn for drinks and dinner a couple of times. The first evening we received a very offhand welcome; the landlord and barman spent all their time looking gloomy, ignoring their guests and watching the tv in the bar. One of our meals was great (a juicy steak @ £19)... More

We visited this place in May 2010. The food was extremely good and the owners let us pitch a tent in the garden as there were no rooms available. The dining area and bar are extremely cosy and the service was great. I look forward to going back to this place in the future. More

Family and friends all stayed at the Glenelg Inn for the weekend of our wedding. Sheila was the perfect host and not surprisingly the wedding went without a hitch. The food and the entertainment were excellent. Thank you to all the staff at the Inn...we all had a great weekend and will definitely be back. More
