We stayed here for five days mid March 2012 - perfect snow and weather! After the second day we were the only guests in the hotel. The owners treated us like members of their family and we enjoyed the onsen, ski in ski out location and very reasonable hotel facilities. We chose Myoko and the Alp to be sure of... More

We have just returned from our second stay at Hotel Alp. We have been privileged to stay for a week in February in both 2011 and 2012. The accommodation is clean and comfortable, and, if you are happy to sleep on tatami, quite spacious by Japanese standards. The lovely free outdoor onsen is a bonus at the end of a... More

Our family with two young children stayed here for 8 nights in Febuary 2011. We stayed in a tatami room as we find with young children it is better to pack up your beds in the morning and have space for play (for the little time you are in your room!). The outside onsen is fantastic and worth the extra... More

Room was spotless and spacious, with access to a balcony and a good sized bathroom plus a short bath. Western beds were comfortable and we had no problems sleeping soundly. Staff were always most helpful and passionate about providing excellent service. We were picked up from Myoko Kogen railway station by prior arrangement (working through Amy from the Myoko Tourist... I have stayed at the Hotel before with my Family in 2010, Unfortunately, i became extremely sick after arriving, the Hotel owners looked after me for 2 days and organised Hotel staff to ski with my sone, while i was incopacitated. They are extremely helpful and nothing is... More

We stayed in the Hotel Alp over Christmas 2010. As we arrived a day before the snow did, we were given directions to see the temples in Nagano. We said a prayer for snow at every shrine and half a metre arrived overnight! We had a very comfortable room with balcony with a view of the slopes. The staff were... More
