The Chalet Hotel Hornberg is an absolute gem--a relaxing getaway in the Bernese Alps with impeccable service and extraordinarily kind staff at every turn. Our friends have been going to the Hotel Hornberg for a while and we joined them in early March. The whole hotel experience was simply the best. We stumbled across this hotel in the town of Saanenmoeser only because the hotel we had planned to stay in the next town (Schonried) was closed. What a wonderful discovery. While this hotel does not have exactly the same dramatic view of the stunning range you can see from Schonried, it still has a great setting. And if you walk... more
