Just got back from three wonderful nights at the Plaine and I couldn't imagine a better base for exploring Bath. The building was beautiful, the room clean, cosy and well equipped and the breakfast was lovely. Best of all was Justina the manageress she was the perfect host, genuinely caring about our stay, offering great advice and was great with... More

The guesthouse is lovely; warm and cosy, clean and smart. We stayed for one night and were very well looked after - Justina the manager was very helpful, gave us lots of advice on things to do, and cooked a mean breakfast! The option of a bottle of wine on arrival was well received! More

The Plaine Guesthouse's main asset is Justina, the manager. She's so friendly, welcoming and helpful! The bedroom we stayed in was nicely decorated in a contemporary style and well thought-out (except for the ceiling lights!). However, the bathroom is in true need of an update. The beige 80's bathroom suite with the matching beige carpet is outdated, and while clean,... More

Quiet and comfortable and the star is Justina who manages the house who cannot do too much for guests. The house needs investment - the bedroom windows appear not to open and are old and grubby. Comfortable beds. Breakfast was below average (not sumptuous as advertised), rather poor coffee, no fruit or yogurts. More

My wife and I and our two dogs stayed at The Plaine for three nights to celebrate the New Year. We could not have been happier with our stay. The room was comfortable and the service was outstanding. The manager, Justina, was amazing and made us feel right at home. She also made a great breakfast, and went as far... More

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights whilst on a birthday treat. We were blown away by the level of service and attention to detail provided by this B&B. The B&B is really cute and cosy and the staff & owners so welcoming. We don't have a car and still found it quite easy to get to the... More

I stayed at the Plaine Guesthouse while attending a 5 day course at the Liquid Glass Centre(glass blowing etc). It was very comfortable and welcoming. It was also very handy for the Liquid Glass Centre. I ate good food at the George Inn opposite, and at the Mill at Rode. Norton St Philip is "as pretty as a picture". More
