We wanted to stay in North Wales and after searching the internet for bed and breakfasts we decided on the Glencoed - not knowing anything about the area. Although they seem to be quite busy, by booking back in March we assured ourselves a room.
Since there are four of us (parents and two teens), we booked the family suite. We basically had a wing of the house to ourselves. One huge master bedroom, including it's own television and sink. The large bathroom with shower (no tub), was beside the master bedroom. Up a set of stairs was the room that our daughters took. It consisted of 2 twin beds, along with a couch, sink and its own t.v. as well.
Derek and Rosemary Hughes were great hosts. They took our orders for the hot breakfast the night before to ensure that we received exactly what we wanted.
