Stunning grounds on hillside overlooking Lake Arenal. We stayed at one of the casitas which are very comfortable, tastefully decorated, and include a well-equipped kitchen. The casita easily sleeps two couples or a family with children. Breakfast service was fantastic including homemade jams and breads. The owners are helpful and attentive to every need. This hotel is situated in Nuevo Arenal, a bit off the main tourist route, but it is a real gem. The gardens are beautiful and we saw at least a dozen species of birds within a few minutes of looking out from our deck. We stayed here for three nights. It was peaceful and quiet. Bring binoculars -- we saw many toucans in the grounds! The breakfast was great. This is a small place set in beautiful grounds.
