“Nice place to relax”

After driving for a couple of hundred kilometers, the welcome was heartfull. It was a nice summer day, and the dip/swim in the small lake was just what we nedded after hours in the car. My wife cannot have food with milk or gluten. No problem, was the waiters answer. They substituted an entre and a dessert withut the ingredients... More

Depending on your perspective Hennickehammars Herrgard will remind you of Dirty Dancing or The Shining. There was free internet access throughout the campus. Furnishings were well appointed, the rooms were clean and bedding had deliciously crisp clean white sheets. We just got back from a short but very sweet stay at Hennickehammar Herrgård in Varmland, Sweden. It was an oasis of calm served with delicious food and drink. Very, VERY place near Filipstad, Varmland! Superb setting in the swedish woods. Very friendly, competent and service minded staff. The food is excellent and mid range priced. Lot's of atmosphere. This hotel is in a stunning location, over looking a lake in the middle of nowhere. The hotel is situated 5 minutes from Filipstad and approximately three and half hours from Arlanda airport by car.
