My mother and I had a week in Stockholm and touring around Lake Vattern and this was the best hotel. We had a nice room in the annex with a balcony overlooking the river. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were all very nice. There were lovely walks to be done along the canal right from the hotel....

Clearly, this family owned hotel has a long history of welcoming guests from all parts of the world. The location couldn't be better, a lovely view of the boats that pass by is a great reminder of life in the slow lane. Food is traditional and very well prepared. Stayed here one night, had a lovely room overlooking the Gota Canal, little boats passing, quiet location, excellent bed, tv and all the trimmings. Lovely to sit on the small balcony, read and see the boats pass by. Breakfast was great, in a lovely decorated dining area.
