TIKAYKILLA Lodge & Wines, beautifully reflects the traditional and rural land of Mendoza from which it is rooted. Springing from a marvelous display of plants and indigenous trees of various typical fruits from Mendoza region, Tikaykilla Lodge & Wines looks out on an expanse 3000m2 of open country full of picturesque vineyards introducing the visitor to the origin of the wine produced in this region. The Lodge is located in the very heart of the Wine Route, among vineyards, olive trees and fruit Groves, surrounded by Wineries and small farms in a typical Mendoza landscape, and just 500m away from the most important Wine Museum in South America. Tikay's cliche: "to make guests to feel even better than home"

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What a wonderful property. From the moment you arrive to the moment you leave everything is taken care of and thought of. Free bikes for use, homecooked breakfast, and beautiful gardens. And all just minutes from the wineries. What else do you need? Look no further and stay here.

Maipú in Mendoza is one of my favourite places in Argentina and Tikaykilla is responsible for that ;-) The lodge makes you feel very comfortable and at home, and the way Francisco buid the relationship between guests and other staff is great - that is the reason we decide to come over and over again. The rooms are comfortable and breakfast is generous. And all tips regarding the area are easily provided by Francisco and his staff. Will be back again!

This will be my third review of TikayKilla, after being one of the first guests since their opening a decade ago. My life has changed so much since then: changing jobs, new relationship and relocating from NY to Deutschland. What hasn´t changed? The laid back "hakuna matata" vibe at TikayKilla. The quiet location, the fruit trees on the property, vineyards a bike ride away and artesanal shops make the location the ideal place to escape pretentious hustle and bustle. And then there is Francisco - as a host he is wonderfully attentive, always suggesting the best sights or keeping his distance if he knows you want to just tuck into a glass of wine and good book. This place restores your soul. Gracias Tikay! xoxox Bis spater!

My wife and I stayed at this lodge recently and had the time of our lives! The host Francisco was on top of our every need, providing us with great information about the surround wineries and other great spots to explore! We stayed for 2 days but ended up extending our visit as we were totally in our element and not wanting to depart. Would highly recommend this wonderful place!

From the moment we booked this place, Francisco was available to help us make the most of our short time in Mendoza as part of our honeymoon. Francisco booked us a wonderful lunch at Ruca Malen (7 courses with wine pairing) and the next day we did olive oil and wine tasting at Zuccardi followed by a fantastic lunch at Pan y Oliva. I would highly recommend both. We only stayed two nights in Mendoza but we made the most of it thanks to Francisco. As others have said, the accommodation is simple but lovely. The rooms were spotless and though we didn’t see Francisco we were looked after very well by Juliette (and the pets :)). Whilst not a luxury wine lodge, it’s a perfect base to explore the area and Maipú is perfectly situated for a lot of the best vineyards. We didn’t have a car (and didn’t fancy cycling) but Francisco was on hand to sort all the taxis we needed. Thank you so much for a fabulous stay!

My partner and I stayed here 3 nights and whilst we never met Francisco, he was so incredibly accommodating ! He contacted us through WhatsApp and made sure that we were ok and booked a beautiful wine tour for us to do one day and a great bike hire for the other. He even sent over an adapter for us on our first night with his brother as well and always made sure we were ok. The lodge was well located within most of the great vineyards and was tranquil and beautiful. Rooms were clean and well looked after. I would definitely stay here again!

We had an overnight stay in Mendoza, so we needed a place tor rest, breakfast, relaxation, and close to the vineyards. TikayKilla ticked all the boxes and exceeded all our expectations. We were greeted by Francisco on arrival. He had organised our airport transfers, recommendations and suggested places for dinner. The rooms although simple, included a desk and clothes rack! The wine tour picked us up from the property. Shout out to Mariana for amazing hospitality and Soki (golden lab), great company.

Similar to other reviewers, we felt very cared for during our stay. We were a bit concerned that there wasn't much to do in low tourist season, but Francisco provided helpful recommendations and we really enjoyed our activities. The rooms were so comfortable and quiet (we also liked the heated floors on a cool day!), and the staff made sure we had everything we needed. The dog and cat are cuddly buds, and they're obedient if you're not into pets. We liked that the place is a bit away from town (15 min walk) so it's quiet, but accessible to everything. Any operator can pick you up if you do a tour, including bike rental. Overall, we were really happy with the staff support - truly the best in our three-week trip in Argentina!

Maipu is about 15min drive from central Mendoza but out amongst a whole range of wineries that can be reached by car or bike from TikayKilla. The lodge is in a quiet location with a basic breakfast on offer each morning and is surrounded by a pretty garden with a BBQ area out back. Francisco and his team couldn't have been more helpful in making recommendations and arrangements for us and really went out of their way to help - just a really lovely stay!

The hotel is in a quiet spot, an easy cycle road into Maipu. Handy spot to cycle to the vineyards of the Maipu area. We didn't meet Francisco but we were very well looked after. Hotel provides lots of information on tours and visits. Room was clean, simple and quiet. A BBQ was prepared for us in the garden one evening.
