came by an article in The Times, January 2011 featuring 20 best pubs with rooms recommending the Miller of Mansfield, a year later the article was not wrong! Our room was delightful, tucked up in the eaves, it was stylish and cosy. The Ren bath products spoiled us We ate in the restaurant each evening - the chef did not... More

Really nice chilled weekend in room overlooking the church. Good bar food and excellent Dinner. Breakfast hit the spot especially the porridge. Sit by the log fire in the big fireside chairs, have a pint of ale and relax. Staff really nice and its all effortless, no fussing over signing for drinks or dinner etc. Perfect place for a weekend... More

The Miller of Mansfield is in a quiet, peaceful village between Reading and Oxford. The perfect relaxing get-away break. I visited at the end of a cold January and I was offered an extra heater straight away - the staff are very thoughtful about their guests. The food is very hearty and there's an open fire in the bar that... More

After Reading other reviews on this site I was aprehensive about our visit how wrong could I be. Ok so the decor is not quite on a par with the Dorchester but neither are the prices. My husband and I arrrived to spend the night celebrating our first wedding anniversary we spent a leisurely afternoon in front of a roaring... More

It seems from the other reviews on TripAdvisor this is a love it or hate it kind of place. Personally, we loved it. I think you have to remember that this is a small, old inn, with quirks, and that ultimately, it is a pub with some rooms. The added bonus is that it has a superb restaurant and a... More

We stayed at the Miller of Mansfield on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Admittedly it was a last minute decision as my father-in-law had passed away a couple of weeks earlier and we wanted to get the rest of the family together somewhere nice, so we could relax and wouldn’t have to cook. Big mistake – I would not recommend... More
