We had my mother in laws 90th Birthday at Barnsley House. A lovely afternoon tea for 16 family members. Absolutely couldn't fault the food, the service and the staff. Nothing was too much trouble and the house and gardens lovely. Would have loved to stay longer and will be back for an overnight stay soon!

Very accommodating, hospitable, and enchanting! Delightful martinis in pub setting bar. Dinner was artfully served with local vegetables, fruits, and meats. It has the modern conveniences, yet the spirit of the past!

What a wonderful stay. Fabulous and generous public rooms. Really a dream spot for a weekend /vacation. Thanks to Emma for extra help with the driver & dinner order from late train. Location, views and grounds, private cinema, small but great spa and hydrotherapy pool, food, staff - they don't get much better than this. Parking can be tricky when busy. They could probably apply for Michelin star but that would change the relaxed atmosphere.
