We stayed here for 1 night and we absolutely enjoyed our time. Beautiful weather, free kayaks to use, beach chairs, prettiest lagoon, it IS paradise! Just to hide from the cities and to reload your energy, the place to go!

We spent 2 nights here. Really, it's worth a day trip or maybe a night. I wish we had spent more time on Ometepe instead. There are dorms, private rooms with a shared bath, and private rooms with private baths. We moved up to the private room with its own bath after seeing how much nicer it was than the...

I booked the Paradiso hostel via the Oasis hostel in Granada (same owner) without really knowing what I will get except that I wanted to swim in the laguna to escape the heat of the city.
I haven't been disappointed.
The location is amazing and very quiet, the staff is super friendly and working hard to keep the place clean....

After a busy itinerary in Nicaragua, I spent my last two days relaxing here...it was beautiful. I had a dorm room. It was basic but cheap, clean and comfortable. The menu could have had more options, but the atmosphere was unbeatable. Kayak rentals are free, the dorm room for 2 nights, 3 meals and 8 beer cost me about $45.
We had booked at a different hotel at apoyo in the fall of 2010. When we got there there had been a mixup and we were without rooms. Paradiso had been open just for two days but we were immediately welcomed.
The setting is wonderful with the upper porch looking over the lake and great spots for reading and relaxing....

This place was GREAT! I went here with my boyfriend and we got a private room for $25. The bathroom was outside—a little hut type thing with a shower, toilet, and sink. If I stayed here again, I would pay a couple more dollars to have the bathroom inside since we had to walk outside at night down the little...

We just spent three nights at El Paradiso and totally loved it. The setting is fantastic, the mood is very chilled and the floating deck in the lake is pefect for sunbathing. It has lots of different outdoor areas - kitchen, lounge, dining area, lake-front - so you can always get privacy and peace and quiet to read or just...

I have stayed here twice and love this hotel - coverted into hostel. It is recently under new ownership and the current manager Diego is solicitous and very friendly (speaks English, French and Spanish).
Dorms are simple but very clean - a free towel is included for deposit.
Coffee and tea are available all day - meals and snacks are...

I am a current Peace Corps Volunteer (aka super budget traveller) but found the $10 dorm price to be well worth it. The location is great - right on the lake with a swim out dock. The prie includes accessto kayaks as well and maybe deturs your average backpacker who would prefer the more party atmosphere of monkey hut (who...

This is a super clean, slightly higher end hostel with a fantastic location right on the lake in the Laguna de Apoyo nature reserve. Kayaks are free, the water is warm, the staff friendly and accommodating, and you can lounge on the beach or the large covered beach patio or swing in a hammock. The dorm has a view of...
