Broke my journey here on the way back from NE Scotland - it was very good to find a selection of real ales in the bar - the food was excellent and the bedroom acceptable but could be smartened up a bit - the food more than made up for that! more

Although the hotel it set in a beautiful location and looks lovely from the outside, I found our room to be very shabby (not at all like the photos used on the web site). We arrived on Friday night to be told that the room we had only had a bath but when we asked for a shower they promptly changed us to another room which was great.
