If you are looking for tranquil countryside and a genuine welcome then this is your place. Booking via the owner's website was easy and efficient. We found the property with relative ease though it is a rather hidden gem and therein lies it's charm. This rural retreat offers two self-contained rooms with a rustic feel yet all the modern conveniences, including tea making facilities! [ a must if you are British of course! :-) ] The hostess, Andrea, offers a friendly but unobtrusive welcome and a traditional French breakfast in the family breakfast lounge. There is plenty to do and see in the area including riverside walks, ancient towns and local market days. Chinon and Saumer offer good dining experiences.
