After getting lost a few times we got ourselves to Villa Bianca and felt relaxed straight off. The suite was lovely, roomey and clean. Lots of books to read. A few english ones. Spent some hours by the pool in the sun. Everything about the place is relaxed. Enjoyed eating dinner there so much stayed in for 4 evenings. Prices...

Villa La Bianca was founded in 1999 by the great writer and literary critic: Cesare Garboli. Since its opening, we have been trying to keep the original nature of this elegant country house as much as possible, whose rooms have seen the presence of some of the most representative characters of the art and culture of the 20th Century. This is the reason why we have chosen to create a Country House instead of an hotel, because we wanted to keep its original welcoming “home from home ” atmosphereThe location is an oasis of pure peacefulness, refreshed by the sea breeze and surrounded in the greenery of the enchanting Apuan Alps. But only a few kilometres from the villa, you will find the lively life of Versilia, with its beaches and clubs; and then the old town of Camaiore and Pietrasanta, so famous for the international community of artists who live there all year round. The cities of Pisa, Lucca and Florence are less than one hour, and not far by car you will find Torre del Lago Puccini, where the famous Puccini Festival attracts thousands of opera fans every year. Also the Garfagnana and Lunigiana areas are very near; they are lands of castles, old towns, with a rich schedule for the lovers of typical products; and do not forget about the Cinque Terre, a unique place in the world.It easy to understand how its unique and strategic location has made Villa La Bianca the dwelling place of artists and literary men.
