We spent a week here in August and had a wonderful time. The views are spectacular with the Cuillins just a few hundred yards away. The shop and shower facilities are perfectly adequate for a back to nature type of site. On the days the breeze dropped the midges emerged from hiding and could be absolutely hell. So make sure... Colin and his wife are having their first season at Glen Brittle. I found Colin very friendly and he shared his knowledge of the area freely. The site is in a great location with the mountains, sea and river close by. He kindly invited us fishing which made us feel very welcome and added greatly to our stay. They are... More

I last camped in Skye more than 10 years ago, I returned this year expecting rain and midgies, fortunately this year the weather was fabulous and insect repellent plentiful and effective! The campsite had fantastic views across the beach and of the Cuillin peaks. We walked out along the headland and the also the next day up to the Fairy... More

My wife and I visited this site in July 2012 because of excellent reviews and, in no small part, to spite the petty reviewer who gave a bad mark after having fled the site without paying, and being apprehended by the police, and subsequently fined for it. I found the lady in the shop to be extremely helpful and friendly,... More

After a long stay on the campsite last year I returned in 2012 for another 12 weeks on this excellent campsite. The location and scenery are superb. It was possible to view the snow capped Cuillin in April and early May and then in the very warm and sunny weather of late May and June when we certainly had the... More

Me and the wife and our staffy Elsie spent 3 amazing nights here. Fantastic pitches, ours had its own picnic bench. Wonderfully peaceful and relaxing, the surroundings are second to none. Facilities are great and I would not stay anywhere else if/when we return to Skye!

well worth a visit - stunning location. Well away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, you can't help but relax and take things slow. Good 20 minute drive down single track road to find yourself at this charming campsite in splendid isolation. Facilities little basic but in keeping with surroundings and always hot water available. Thoroughly recommend a... More

We were saved by the helpful and friendly staff at this campsite. Nothing was to much trouble for them. They loaned us their own can opener and a spanner for our gas cylinder, items forgotten by first timers. They were always cheery and welcoming. Thanks for your help. The campsite is superbly situated and well looked after but ( due... More

We had intended on wild camping but weather conditions had us staying at Glen Brittle after a night at Sligachan campsite. Both campsites have amazing locations - I would strongly suggest staying at both just for the fabulous views. Sligachan campsite is smaller, I found it friendlier, and has the advantage of pub grub nearby. Glen Brittle campsite is huge... More
