We stayed one week in the Cook Islands, exotic for Americans, but "Hawaii" for Kiwis from New Zealand. The people are extremely friendly. My husband Noel & I stayed at the Onu Beach Bungalow...situated on the beach next to a lagoon. it was spacious, shower at the rear was fantastic. Tom gave us a warm welcome, tropical breakfast refreshing. Lucky & all the staff friendly & helpful. Snorkelling a few steps away, lovely walks on the beach. We highly recommend!

Stained bedsheets and pillows, cockroaches parading through the bungalow all night long, no internet in sight, and a staff with a serious attitude problem. The owner was absent, but from what other reviews suggest, that may have actually been a good thing. Seems like this place has been sliding downhill for a bit. Would not recommend.
