Stayed in Ah! Guesthouse mid January for two nights with four friends from Norway.Arnold and Annelise could not do enough for us to have a comfortable stay. Had a first class crayfish dinner which Arnold prepared and his breakfast was to die for.He has three guest rooms which are all different and very nice. Will recommend this guesthouse to all... More

3 room guest house in Paternoster, with garden and tiny pool. 10 seconds to sandy beach. We loved our comfy room, tucked under the thatch, with huge soft bed, nice linen, duvet and picture window overlooking miles of  beach and surf.  Room amenities were good, with walk in shower and bath in bathroom; fridge and good storage space. Arnold, the owner,... More

We spent a lovely couple of days visiting the west coast . We were greeted at Ah guest house by Arnold who showed us to our lovely room with a lovely view from the dormer windows . We had pre booked dinner and during the late afternoon there were some wonderful aromas wafting up to the thatched roof of the... More

We stayed four nights in December at the start of a long African Odyssey. Paternoster is a delightful relaxing place and we were smitten with the hospitality of Arnold and Annelise at the charming Ah Guesthouse! Tranquil atmosphere, a delightful ground floor room (there are only 3 rooms here so it can be difficult to get in to) and a... More

One of the best getaways for a weekend. The venue is lovely, has amazing rooms, with great attention to detail. The best part are the hosts who are incredible people, very warm and you leave feeling like you made friends. The breakfasts are divine. Make sure you book to eat a supper with Arnold. More

Ah! was good. Didn't get to try the chef's table which people rave about. Breakfast was served at 9:30, which meant getting out and about early wasn't an option. Peternoster - I wouldn't recommend it for short visits to the Western Cape. It is really a small village of white washed self catering holiday houses and B&Bs. The local scene... More

Amazing again. Stayed with Arnold 2 years ago but he was booked up this time but managed to have a meal over the Xmas period. Fantastic food - worth waiting 2 years for! More

We went to Ah! last night for dinner and the food was first class. Served at a beautiful long table, the atmosphere was intimate and friendly. Of the four courses my favourites were the starter: a perfectly poached egg and hollandaise over asparagus wrapped in cured tuna, served with buttery, crispy crostini (truly beautiful), and the dessert: a marbled white... The warmth, comfort, romance and careful attention to detail make this the obvious first choice for all our guests to Paternoster. Of course, having a wonderful chef on site is an additional bonus! More
