The apartment we stayed at was very nicely done, it had a patio with sea views and you could walk to the beach from the apartment. It was very comfy, and well decorated. If you wanted to go for walks on the beach or walk for lunch to the Voorstrand it was perfect, but in terms of walking around other... More

We spent 3 nights in Paternoster recently and stayed at La Baleine. The accomodation is clean and spacious with a well appointed kitchen and room so no criticism there. Teh staff were friendly and attentive in handling my booking. Be warned that La Baleine is on the end of Paternoster where a lot of fishing activity takes place - you... More

We recently stayed at Goedehoop - one of the 2 bedroomed houses owned by La Baleine. We previously stayed at Drommedaris, but as the patio is very high and without railings, we chose to stay at Goedehoop instead this time, as we have a 2 year old daughter. Both houses are right on the beach, with walkways down to the... More

My friend and I stayed for two nights in early-January '12 in the two-bedroomed 'De Reijger' cottage that was part of the 'La Baleine' collection in Paternoster. The location was ideal - almost right on the sand on a small hill looking back over to the beach and town of Paternoster. The sunset over the sea was therefore also awesome.... More

We fell in love with this place the minute we walked in: big windows with sea views, well equipped kitchen, beach at our fingertips and the kind of views dreams are made of. Deon (from Strandloper) organised everything for us, which was a tremendous help. We've stayed at various (self catering) places at Paternoster, and this is without a doubt... More

This was our second visit to Paternoster and stay at La Baleine. The standard of the self catering "villa" is exceptional, especially as it is also pet friendly. The kitchen is probably better equipped than mine at home but we ate out as we were only there for one night. Two minutes walk to the beach. Have no hesitation in... More

Our three night stay at La Baleine (Oranje villa) was a wonderful, carefree getaway from frantic pace of Cape Town. We were welcomed by the very friendly and attentive staff. The villa was comfortable, clean and well equipped with fine views and ocean breezes. The surrounding area, particularly West Coast National Park provided variety. There were good restaurants in the... More

Elna at La Baleine offices offered exceptional service. From organising the right accommodation for our needs (relax getaway & birthday celebration) to extended working hours. The La Baleine accommodation is situated on a rocky outcrop at the end of the Paternoster Bay, where we could walk a few metres to a ‘private’ sandy beach separate to the main beach which... More

We stayed in De Rijger for three nights. We only met one staff member, but she was all the help we needed. We found the place very quiet and relaxing. It had wonderful views from almost all the rooms. The fireplace seperated the kitchen and the livingroom, and it had underfloor heating.(very nice in winter) It was a little expensive,... More

We spent 3 nights in Dromearis - which is arguably the best of the lovely selection of sugar cube cottages at the southerly end of Paternoster beach. Stunning stoep (patio) with a built in braai and eating area - fab chairs for lounging. We spent most of our 34 day stay simply sitting taking in the view, sipping some fab... More
