I’ve recently been travelling up the West Coast, looking for Knox’s sand lizard for my masters project. As the Cape Columbine Nature Reserve occurs within their distribution range, I decided to go have a look in the area. Apart from finding these beautiful, charismatic lizards, I also enjoyed a fantastic stay at The Beach Camp. After a week of sorting... More

Thank you Peet and the rest of the staff for giving us a much needed weekend off away from everything. The noise was gone, the people were friendly, the pones were off and the amazing view out of our bed, what a way to wake up in the morning... We will be back soon.

We stayed at the beautiful Beach Camp for a night while traveling the west coast. If you like rustic beauty, then this place is for you. The accommodation is neat and clean, and although simple, is merely metres from the waters edge, making it an awesome stay. It is self catering, but they have a vast array of all kitchen... More

Our stay at The Beach Camp in Paternoster was bittersweet, with much more bitter than sweet. The setting was nothing short of sublime, but our interaction with the staff and the state of the camp were both so disappointing that the experience was ruined for us. We're both seasoned travelers and nearly always pass on the luxury hotels and opt... More

The Beach Camp is a simple, picturesque and innovative. If you feel camping on the beach is your thing, the Beach Camp makes it an art form with a strong shot of ecological in the mix. We stayed in early September, the weather was cool but bright and the flowers were out. Places around the fire were limited but it... More

If you have ever wanted to be stranded on a desert island, complete with hammocks, a bar, oysters, and amazing people then this is an absolute must. we stayed in the 2 PAX a frame tents and could have moved in forever. What an amazing bunch of people, the owners and staff, but also the guests. Play the drums by... More

We spent two nights at this unbelievably beautiful location. The accomodation was simple, comfotable with the most amazing views - any closer and I would have been waking up in the sea! We loved the bathroom and kitchen facilities - both being clean and well appointed. Our hosts, Sonya, Peet and Daniel went above and beyond to accomodate our needs. This... More

Tucked away between the rocks and practically invisible until you are almost on top of it, this exquisite spot is well worth a visit, at anytime of the year. While the wind may be howling across the rest of the West Coast, the clever design and layout of the tents, A-frames and common areas of the Beach Camp provide a... More

I have visited and stayed at the Beach camp many times - too many to remember - since 2002. Over the years, I have seen it grown into a most precious, magic spot where you can relax and rejuvinate. The owners and their staff are very friendly and welcoming, and take tremendous care to maintain this camp that is so... More
