Stayed one night at Ye Olde Fighting Cocks and was pleasantly surprised. We had a very comfortable room with a great view and the biggest cocked breakfast you have every seen. The staff were all friendly and efficient and the bar has good and cheap beer. Not sure it totally justifies five stars but it was great value for money... more

My husband and I stayed for one night. It was a lovely find. The bedroom and en suite was very clean. The only drawback was the room was directly above the bar and the entertainment was directly below our bedroom! That said, we slept very well and the breakfast was superb. I would definitely go back. more

Lovely pub to stay in, good pint of Thwaites downstairs, lovely rooms with extraordinary view [at front anyway], in an as yet not too over-crowded village. We spent 3 nights here in May and were very impressed with the place. Basically a pub/restaurant with rooms, all the rooms have recently been refurbished to a very high standard and were as nice as any 4 star hotel. The front facing rooms have huge bay windows with fabulous views accross the estuary. Great homemade food, very generous portions.... more
