As part of a touring group, we were one of the few couples allocated a room without a balcony and view overlooking the Obertrumer lake. We had some issues with the fittings in our room to begin with, which the hotel staff reacted to very quickly and put right, to our satisfaction.
We do not feel that our experience at the hotel compared as favourably to those guests who had rooms with a balcony, as our room was very cramped and the windows were small and you needed to stand on tip toes to look out of the windows.
We had very little storage space in comparison to other rooms and had a shower, but no shower curtain!
The overall look and comfort of the hotel in the public areas was very nice indeed and we realised we had a different experience to other guests, given our particular room allocation.
The staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was very good indeed, with a mix of local specialities as well as old favourites.
