We stayed here for two nights in April 2009 while travelling around the South of Hungary and Austria by car. We were genuinely impressed. The hotel occupies a large hilltop site to the south east of the pleasant small town of Bonyhad in rolling countryside (quite reminiscent of the English landscape!) between Budapest and Pecs. The main building has around 20 large and modernly decorated rooms. There is a restaurant lower down the site with views of the surrounding countryside and a direct Italian influence. We enjoyed eating evening meals and breakfast there. There is free Wireless internet. The hotel makes a great base for touring the area - for example about 20 miles to the east towards Baja there is a large National Park on the west bank of the Danube River. The staff were very friendly and the price was good. more
