Stayed here 3 nights on business in April 2013 with colleagues. All of us very happy with our rooms, friendly and attentive service, beautiful location and a hearty breakfast. Has the advantage of either on site evening meals or going across the courtyard to the wonderful Boars Nest (see separate review). Would certainly recommend and will be staying here again.

First impressions were that the location was attractive, with fine views and peaceful grounds (we even saw a thrush building a nest in the fork of a tree right next to a path and less than 6ft above ground level) and the staff were genuinely friendly, helpful and welcoming. Our room in the Paddock block was a good size and... More

I stayed here with a group of walking friends for the first two nights of our Wolds Way walk. We all appreciated the warm welcome we received on arrival, the comfortable and clean rooms, the excellent breakfasts and the friendliness of the staff. On our first night we were directed to a local pub in Brough which served meal portions... More

We had a pleasant stay and really enjoyed the staff who were really interested in making our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Food was excellent and breakfast was also enjoyable. We have read elsewhere that the rooms are being updated and the only negative comment we would make is a slight lack of attention to bathroom fittings (toilet seat loose and... More

We had a 2 night stay Bed and Breakfast bought for us by my Son as a gift for my birthday and we were pleasantly surprised, having passed the Hotel on several occasions before. An old Stone Barn with out buildings on the edge of the Yorkshire Wolds. We arrived and booked in at the reception which had a country... More

I stopped in the disabled room and was disappointed with the overall appearance and comfort of the room. The bed was one of the most uncomfortable I'd slept in (hard mattress) and the shower fluctuated between tepid and cold. Despite hunting I couldn't find how to turn some heating on in the room and subsequently spent a night shivering. Room... More

We are so sorry your experience at Rudstone Walk has not been satisfactory and your room had not met our usual high standards. The disabled room 'Woodland 2' you had stayed in is our only walk in shower room, all other rooms have baths with showers over- consequently the room is not as frequently occupied. So many of our guests... More

Rudstone Walk is a little bit of luxury in the Yorkshire Wolds. It is marketing itself as an exclusive (meaning you could only fit one at a time) conference/wedding/party venue. We stayed there while walking the Yorkshire Wolds Way and so arrived on foot in muddy boots, but the staff couldn't have been more welcoming. The rooms are in semi-motel... More

We stayed at Rudstone Walk for a two night break. We found it clean and friendly with lovely breakfasts, beautiful scenery, comfortable well decorated rooms and peace and quiet. We stayed in one of the cottages which was extremely nice and somewhere where you can truly relax. The staff were very helpful and friendly and we would recommend Rudstone Walk... More

Our stay at Rudstone Walk was fantastic with excellent service and a free upgrade given from a standard room to an apartment (made things much easier because we brought our dog). On the first morning of our stay I went to ask if we could pick up some breakfast and take it to our apartment because our dog would bark... More
