What can I say? This place is a gem. Bainbridge is a lovely village and the B&B is very central and easy to find with signs pointing you in the right direction.
Millie was a delight from the moment she opened the door. We felt relaxed and comfortable in their home (instead of feeling we had to whisper and tip toe around like in some other B&Bs). We were given a key to the front door and the bedroom.

We spent 4 nights at Hazel's Roost and really enjoyed our stay. The proprietor Millie was a lovely lady whom we found to be very helpful ,friendly and efficient. Our room was a very pretty room with tea making facilities and fresh towels daily. The bed linen was changed twice although we were only there 4 nights.Millie served us such delicious breakfasts that we were not hungry until late afternoon(a definate bonus !)There is a small but pretty garden where we sat to drink our coffee.Bainbridge is a lovely quiet and gentle village set among the most beautiful scenery of the Yorkshire Dales and with a local bus service to neighbouring towns such as Leybridge and Bedale is ideal for a restful break away from the hussle and bussle of city life.In the local town of Hawes there is the Wendsledale cheese factory with lots of tasty samples. There is also a weekly market .The 16th century Castle Bolton is only a few miles down the road and we enjoyed an afternoon there. I highly recommend Hazel's... More
