Beautiful setting on the sea run by gracious family offering real hospitality. Dimitri, his father, and the rest of the staff were always readily available to accommodate us. Our room had very comfortable beds and a lovely balcony. We ate dinner here both nights of our stay and enjoyed food made to order with pride for their cuisine. Their breakfast buffet included a great variety of delights I could’ve lingered over for hours as we sat on the outdoor terrace.

If this hotel could get 10 stars, I would give it 10! We had nothing short of an amazing stay here. The food was awesome, the staff was extremely helpful and friendly, and the hotel was nicely kept. We will definitely be back!

We stayed for 6 nights at the end of September. The hotel comprises 22 rooms on a site immediately adjoining the sea, with a bar/restaurant, a pool area leading directly to a shingle beach and access to the sea. Being approximately 2 hours from Athens Airport, it is a good stepping off point for tours to the Peloponnese, and I expect many guests may want to stay there for one or two nights as part of the tour or as a stop-over. The hotel was quiet whilst we were there - I estimate a third full. The establishment is family-run, and all staff are most helpful and willing to provide whatever they can to assist guests and provide them with what they want. We had a sea view room, with spectacular views of the Bay of Corinth, and enjoyed the sound of the waves lapping the shore. The room was possibly the smallest double room we have ever experienced, with minimal storage, so we were living out of suitcases for the duration. Perhaps it would have been a good idea to have booked a triple room for extra space! The room was clean and well serviced. The beach, as remarked, is shingle, and is effectively a private beach, with two points of access into the clear waters. At this time of the year, some rougher seas are to be expected in what is a very open area of sea. There are beach type sun loungers available. The pool, approximately 12 metres, is well looked after. The pool area also serves to provide the outdoor seating for the restaurant, but space for sunbeds is highly limited – there were only 5 when we were there. Fortunately, it was low season, and so there was little competition! We were on a room only basis, but took breakfast in the hotel. Breakfast is served to the table (a legacy of Covid restrictions, they say) and was of good quality, although choice was somewhat limited – understandable given the low number of patrons. However, it would surely have been possible to provide some alternative or change to the fruit choice – grapes or grapes! Service at breakfast was usually slow. The restaurant is open throughout the day, with a reasonable choice. This was useful, as good tavernas in the area are hard to find, and the best seemed to have closed for the season. We particularly enjoyed the sea bream, but we were disappointed to find that this was the only fish choice out of the three mains that evening, and on another evening when we dined at the hotel, there were no fish mains available. Only when we expressed dissatisfaction were we offered a swordfish steak (from the freezer?) The owner explained that we could have asked the hotel to get fish in for us, but some advance warning of that option would have avoided disappointment on the night. Similarly, the bar has a very limited selection of drinks, and again, although the staff were willing to order in specific beverages that they didn’t have (or to re-order when the bottle was empty) we, I’m sure, would not be the only ones unwilling to put them to that trouble or expense for the sake of a minority taste. These are possibly minor issues, especially given that it was low season. Essentially, this is a ‘no frills’ hotel which ‘does what it says on the tin’, as they say, and represents good value for money, especially for a short stay.

I want to put this hotel in my suitcase so I can get it out wherever I am and stay in it. For us it was that good. The staff are lovely, attentive and provide a class service, from the cooks cleaner’s everyone. The place is spotless, the location the best: it is an oasis. You are woken daily by the smell of freshly cooked cake. Breakfast is fresh produce. There is a special for lunch or dinner all is home cooked. Seek a sea view room

We stayed 3 nights in this family-operated hotel and just loved it. These were our down days during a 2 week road trip through Greece, and enjoyed every minute of it. Theo, the owner, is absolutely charming and all the staff was super friendly and attentive. The room was a nice size with a balcony facing the ocean, allowing for a nice breeze at night, but A/C is available. The restaurant is amazing. The breakfast was so extensive that one order was plenty for two people. Delicious and generous portions. Dinner, too. A very warm and welcoming environment.

Dimitrios, Kostas and Theodore run a wonderfully relaxed hotel. We returned this year and we’re welcomed like old friends. Our first dinner was as fantastic as we remembered- tsipoura (local fish), a lovely garlicky tzatziki, Greek feta salad (of course), pork souvlaki, fresh bread & olive oil. All washed down with the delicious white wine the family make on their own farm - they also make their own olive oil. We’ll be coming back here whenever we visit Greece!

Lovely hard working family with a lovely hotel. The location is perfectly quiet and suitable for working remotely. The view (sunrise) will be one of the greatest things which you will ever see and the kitchen is tremendous. We’ve stayed here for two nights and I can’t remember the last time I’ve slept so well. Definitely coming back

We had another really great holiday at the Lido, thanks to Dimitris, Kostas and all the staff! The hotel is small and unfussy, tucked away in Melissi, but when you arrive you meet the very friendly staff and walk into a lovely open dining room, veranda and pool area, with a fantastic view over the Corinthian Gulf. We had breakfast and dinner by the pool every day - a lovely breakfast, and the evening menu involved delicious local fresh fish, other Greek specialities and their local white wine is excellent. The rooms are spacious with mostly excellent views of the Gulf. We enjoyed the view, the service and the food immensely, having a very relaxed holiday at a good price, just what was needed!
