We've just returned from a tour of southern Spain and stayed one night at the Etap in Alicante. The room was just horrible, and the bathroom reminded of an automated public toilet cabin. When we used the shower the water ran all over the floor as there was nothing to stop it. No soap or shower gel were provided at all. Only one towel. No phone in the room. Paint was falling off the walls (which appeared to be made of paper) and the doors, the carpet was dirty, the remote for the TV didn't work and the lighting was horrible. Noisy from the corridors. There were some prostitutes hanging around near the hotel!! The only positive point is its close location to the sea. Don't stay there because you will leave as a depressed vegetable.
