We stayed at Finca Sa Canova in February 2007 and experienced peace in this cluster of old farm buildings.

In case you do not already know, this area of Mallorca is scenically probably the most dull on the island. Expect a flat coastal plain. Great for walking and cycling, but otherwise unremarkable. If you are looking for a finca among some stunning scenery, go for somewhere in the north-west or north of the island.

Having said the above Sa Canova is still a charming place set within ancient farm buildings and meadows filled with olive and almond trees. We awoke to sounds of cocks crowing, birds singing and horses making the noises that horses make! At night time there is absolute silence and a sense of deep tranquility.

Getting to Sa Canova from the airport is easy and takes about 15 mins. Just take the highway towards Campos and get off at junction 27, then continue towards Campos on the small road. You'll find the sign for the finca at the 33.6 kilometre... more
