My wife and I have just spent four nights at the Hotel Tikar. Although arriving around 11.00 p.m., we were warmly welcomed, shown to our "suite" and told that drinks and/or a light snack were still available. Our suite had a small comfortably furnished sitting room with TV, an adequately sized double bedroom (very comfortable double bed) with en suite shower room. A continental breakfast was served at any time to suit us either in our room or the hotel dining room.
On two evenings we ate in the hotel's Restaurante Azul, which, we had been told, had a good reputation and was popular with locals, We found the menu varied and interesting, the food excellent and well presented, and the service professional and yet friendly. Our only regret was that, because of other commitments, we could not eat there every night of our stay.
We shall have to go back to Garrucha again and will most certainly stay, and eat, in the Hotel Tikar. more
