I love Scotland, and I love the Scots, but this beautiful country must contain some of the world's worst hosteliers. This doesn't need to be a 'terrible' hotel: it is a good building in a solid location with a steady stream of wedding-traffic to the nearby Balbirnie House Hotel (nice by the way). Have been going to the restaurant at The Town House Hotel for years even when a multitude of people have told me about their terribe experiences with the owner...i gave her the benefit of the doubt....but no more...the sour face on this woman could curdle milk.
