I stayed at the Forest Hongo Hotel when I attended a conference at the Tokyo Universityseveral days back. I was very happy with the quietness and calmness of the neighbourhood. The room was very clean and the amenities were just awesome. There are many restaurants nearby.

I went on a business trip to Tokyo and attended a conference. I stayed in the Hongo Forest Hotel. The hotel was extremely decent and above average by all standards. Nicer than the average business hotel, this is a great place to stay if you have business at Tokyo University. Not convenient as a base for tourists, though.
