I stayed at the Imperial Hotel in Tokyo for seven nights while in Tokyo for a vacation. It was a memorable experience and worth every penny (at least those spent on the room fee!). Check-in: Politeness of the highest order from check-in onwards. I had a team of staff carry my luggage to the room in the Tower along with... more

At the end of April 2009 I had the privilege of spending one night at the Imperial Hotel in Tokyo. I often travel to Japan on business but this was my first time to stay in this most famous of Japanese hotels and it blew me away. A lot of people I know recommend the more modern hotels such as... more

This is a nice business hotel with a very convenient location, very nice common spaces and decent but not great rooms. It's perfectly fine, and the name still has some cachet, but there are nicer, more luxurious places to stay in the city. Rooms - appear to be recently renovated, smallish (about what you would expect from an older property... more

I've written a review of this hotel in the past, but just wanted to write again since I just thoroughly enjoy it! From the moment you arrive to the moment you must check out, this hotel goes WAY overboard in making the guest feel welcome and VERY special. All the staff is smiles and ready to drop whatever to help... more

This hotel is a genuine living legend. Vast, full of well heeled Japanese and busy, yet extraordinarily personalized service - and the staff's sense of anticipation just amazes you minute after minute. Frank Lloyd Wright ambiance in a restrained, somehow simple yet charming setting - with touches of Wright in the hallways, lobby, the great Peacock Room and a stunning... more

We stayed for one night at the Imperial Hotel during a quick trip to Tokyo at the end of a business trip elsewhere in Asia. The service was superb and the staff uniformly helpful in helping us make the most of our brief time in Tokyo. The location was perfect for sightseeing. The room was extremely comfortable. We hope to... more

Stayed here for 2 nights last Dec. 22, '08. We were given a room at the 32nd floor of the Imperial Tower with the view of Ginza. The service is impeccable and the location is the best for us who want to be close to Ginza and train station which are few minutes walk from the hotel. more

I could not adequately describe Tokyo if I had several pages here, but suffice to say it was an enjoyable stay. The hotel is truly five star but it is in the middle of Tokyo, so sightseeing or business is the order of the day...no recreational opportunities. The hotel, is both opulent, and somewhat nondescript, as if a rather restrained... more

The Imperial Hotel was selected for me by my colleagues in Japan, because it was within walking distance of their offices. I was completely impressed with the hotel in every respect. The service was consistently excellent. I read in my guide book not to tip people, but I tried anyway, and the bellman absolutely refused. As an aside, the hotel... more
