My girlfriend and I spent three nights here in April 2009. Overall our experience here was nice. The rooms were small as expected but there was free internet, a fully bathroom, a bed and big chair to sit on. It's not extravagant but it suited our needs just nicely. Only complaints which none were a big enough deal for me... more

We stayed on this place for a total of three nights. The rooms and shared bathroms are small but comfortable and very clean. Has free wi fi and offers pcs with internet access on the lobby for a low price. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Plus the location is excellent, just three blocks away a major subway station.... more

The Sakura hotel is more like a hostel - but a very nice one at that. Our room was very small, but you don't go to Tokyo to stay in your room. The bed was quite comfortable and the room was air conditioned for comfort. The toilet and shower facilities are all shared, but are cleaned daily and I was... more

Sakura Hotel is not a Hotel. You share a shower and toilet with around 20 other guests on your floor. The double bed room is NOT big enough for 2 people, I recommend spending another 190Yen and getting a twin instead. (we switched part way through our stay) The only thing that stops this place from calling themselves a hostel... more

We stayed in a double room, which was big enough for a bed and standing room next to the bed. We were travelling light, so it was fine. We only used the room to sleep, we were out and about the rest of the time. The room was smallllllll and a bit stuffy, but it was cleaned daily, there were... more

Sakura Hotel offers basic accommodation with low rates and a great location. You get what you pay for, however. The rooms are clean, but very small (only fits a bed and enough room to walk past it), even for Japan. Toilets and showers are shared, which is not so bad as they were cleaned daily. The wash basins are right... more

This was a bad experience from the start! When we (My boyfriend and I) first arrived, they could not even find our reservation and claimed that we didn't have one. I had to use their computer to pull up my email and show them the email confirmation THEY sent me. We finally got a room...not the one we wanted. The... more

Good price and location but unfortunately there is quite a serious bed bug problem. For this reason alone I would not stay here again or recommend it. more

The dorms are in the basement, one female dorm and one male dorm. No windows, a bit damp. It was smelly when you first enter the dorm, but after you turn on the air-conditioner for a while, it was OK. Curtains for beds were shown in their website, but there was none, only hooks where curtains used to be (if... more

I stayed 6 nights in Sakura Hotel by myself. It was very difficult for me to pick a hotel as Tokyo is such an enourmous place but I liked Sakura's website and the price was right for a budget traveler like myself. I arrived Tokyo by train from Nagoya, and getting around first with a big backbag in July heat... more
