The Grand Prince Akasaka hotel is in an excellent location, in between Shinjuku and Tokyo train stations. The hotel is right next to an underground station and there are shops and places to eat nearby. It's close to the Imperial Palace although the Palace Gardens closed at 15:30 (in November) so we were too late to go in, they looked... more

This hotel is located in a great location. Once of the most prestigious location in Tokyo (Akasaka). Close to subway station and lots of bars and great restaurants couple of blocks away. Like other areas of Tokyo, Akasaka is extremely safe. Good service and very courteous staff but this is expected anywhere in Tokyo. If you have flown Japan Airlines,... more

I am not too sure where the other people were staying, who gave good reviews on this hotel because frankly it doesn't sound like the same hotel, this is not the experience that we have just had. No one at the hotel spoke English, and trying to make yourself understood with hand signals is impossible. The room - and we... more

I stayed at the Grand Prince Hotel Akasaka for 3 nights with my son (10 months), my husband and my mom. Found a great deal on the hotel homepage and could book a huge suite with two bedrooms (each with 2 twin beds), two bathrooms and a living corner for the price of one normal room. Can only think about... more

Contemporary hotel, all white marbel in lobby. Known for women "bell boys". We got a free drink coupon when we checked in. You get 1000 yen (about $10) for each night you choose not to have clean towels (green intiative). If you stayed 5 nights or more you got 40% discount on hotel stay. (Promotional offer) Our room was very... more

We had on overnighter in Tokyo which could not have been easier - bus from Narita drops you at Hotel door and picks you up again early the next morning. Hotel staff packed breakfast for us as we were leaving before brekky started. Our Japanese style room was large and sunny (make sure you ask for the traditional style room).... more

Found a good rate on the internet and although it's a bit difficult to get to this hotel by foot, the taxis are plentiful and reasonably priced, so this place gets my thumbs up. Decor is a bit dated but it's still clean and very quiet. Akasaka-mitsuke is only 5 mins by foot. Breakfast on the 40th floor has good... more

Let me start of by saying yes, I know beds in Japan are firmer. This is my 3rd trip to Japan, and by far we had the hardest bed I had ever slept on. Hard as in, our ribs were hurting hard. Several friends went on this trip, and everyone was sore from the mattress. Good thing was, we weren't... more

Stayed in the GPH for three nights. Had two mid level rooms looking towards Akasaka. They were bright notwithstanding the dated decor that is well chronicled in other reviews. Bathrooms were functional and had plenty of accessories. Small area with a kettle and coffee machine, which we enjoyed. Did not eat at the hotel as it appeared expensive compared to... more
