I stayed here with a friend on vacation from the States and we both thought that it was a great deal. It was NOT a 5-star hotel and was definitely very dated but all in all a good choice. I found reasonable rates for my cousin and her husband when they were in Tokyo last year and they loved it.... more

My husband and I stayed at the Grand Prince Hotel, Akasaka for 4 nights during our first trip to Tokyo. I guess you could put us in the category of 'young professionals'. We were very happy with the hotel, particularly because of its location. There are two metro stations nearby which connect to some of the main lines, including the... more

Staff was rude when asked to explain about charges such as tax, and other charges. He couldn't understand why we disagreed with the agent's price and the final price that we wanted to clarify. Showed his anger like he was the general manager. If we had a choice, we wouldn't have wanted to stay there in the first place. Mostly... more

This is a large busy hotel within walking distance of some great, local restaurants. The restaurants in the hotel are a little pricey, so be brave and venture further afield. Check - in staff were friendly and highly efficient, the rooms were clean and well presented. We had booked a double bed but were given two singles. We explained to... more

The Hotel we stayed in was very classy, with a 1970's James Bond Chic to it - all cool 70's Decor ! It was situated really well, in Akasaka, very close to the tube, and loads of Restaurants, with The Imperial Palace nearby too. The Hotel staff were very efficient, and friendly, and spoke good English too ! more

Spent 4 nights here with my wife. If coming from Narita airport use the aiport limousine bus service (3000 yen each one way) as it drops you at the hotels front door. This takes only marginally longer than the Narita express train but it is much more conveniant and the bus has stow away luggage facilities. There is a ticket... more

We managed to pay less than $140 a night for a standard room which was upgraded to a High Floor Double with a wonderful view. There's a great sofa for lounging right by the window and gazing at the evening skyline. Check in was efficient and friendly. We still can't get over how polite everyone is and had to get... more

The Grand Prince Akasaka hotel is in an excellent location, in between Shinjuku and Tokyo train stations. The hotel is right next to an underground station and there are shops and places to eat nearby. It's close to the Imperial Palace although the Palace Gardens closed at 15:30 (in November) so we were too late to go in, they looked... more

This hotel is located in a great location. Once of the most prestigious location in Tokyo (Akasaka). Close to subway station and lots of bars and great restaurants couple of blocks away. Like other areas of Tokyo, Akasaka is extremely safe. Good service and very courteous staff but this is expected anywhere in Tokyo. If you have flown Japan Airlines,... more
