Tokyo is a very expensive town and hotels are very expensive. This one was a very good option once is not so expensive and it's really near the center. Metro station is in front of the hotel. Room was small but nice.

If you can get past the tiny rooms, this hotel is a real winner. Very clean, in a great location near the subway, excellent service and amazingly affordable for Tokyo. I've stayed at their Akasaka location (also very good) and Ginza (not nearly as good). This one is the best, in my opinion.

We had a short stay in Tokyo and the Monterey Hanzomon was a good choice for us. A good room, both western and Japanese breakfast, very close to the Imperial Palace and the Subway right across the street to take you everywhere. Nothing extra fancy, just a good hotel to spend the nights after sightseeing.
