This hotel is new and room was clean.I have stayed at Toyoko Inn hotels in various areas of Japan before, and this hotel is average like other Toyoko Inn.Room was small but enough for sleeping unless you have many luggage nor anticipate amenities in staying at the hotel.Being a member of Toyoko Inn, earlier check-In(just one hour earlier)was applied.Located at the center of Tokyo, several lines of Tokyo metro are available, and the nearest station is Tameike- Sanno, which has two lines. There are some stations of metro around the hotel as Akasaka Station, Kokkaigijidomae Station, Toranomon Station and Akasakamitsuke Station. Tameike-Sannno station is the nearest. Located a little away from the big street, firstly, difficult to find, but not too hard to find. Some say this hotel is the safest hotel in Japan since located at the next to premier's mansion, can see a large number of police men standing around the hotel. If cannnot find the hotel, asking the police man the lacation is solution.Around the hotel, there are too many restaurants. In Akasaka area, many restaurants as Korean foods restaurants are there. Roppongi is near, too.

Having tried this chain in Korea, I wished to do so in Japan too. I was pleasantly surprised by this one. Location is good, with several metro lines very close by, and the lively Akasaka neighborhood only 10 mn walk away. Being next to the PM's official residence, security is top notch :) My room was clean and highly functional, if relatively small (but no worse than some rooms in London for example). Service is friendly, but the staff's English is almost as limited as my Japanese. Overall, a very good no-frills deal.

Toyoko Inn is a great choice in general. The rooms may be small (it's Japan - get used to small rooms!), but equipped with everything you need. The one in Tameike Sanno offers great central location - Harajuku to the west, Ginza to the east, and it is right near the palace. There are four subway lines nearby to take you wherever you want to go with minimal transfers, and you could even walk to Roppongi if you feel like it (it would take about 20-25 minutes). It is also in a very secure and elegant locale; Hie Jinja is only a stone's throw away and, if you're lucky enough to secure a reservation, the famed Sushi Saito is only a 5-minute walk away. To add to the list of pluses, there are self-service laundry facilities with extremely reasonable prices, and breakfast is included. One minus for us was the check-in time - 4pm is a little bit late in the day, especially since check-out time is 10am. Overall a pleasant experience, and I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

We came to value this Toyoko Inn due to its central location, cleanliness and price. As expected, it was tight quarters, but I am not spending much time in the room milling around, so it was fine. The breakfast is very basic, but even us Westerners could manage. The coffee is pretty good, too. We appreciated the subway stop just around the corner, and because the Prime Minister's house is across the street we felt very protected and it was very quiet. We will stay again.

Room Tip: Do not accept a room on a floor with laundry facilities. Too noisy late at night.

I've always chosen Toyoko Inn's Hotels to stay in my trips. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Tameike Sanno has a great location. Just a few minutes walk from the Tameike Sanno St. Free Japanese style breakfast.

Lots of people think of Japan as such an expensive country to visit. That's until we tell them about Toyoko Inn - this chain of clean, no-frills but well-placed business hotels that never seem to disappoint, even though they never really make you jump for joy either, apart from when the bill is settled of course. This very central one is just south of the Imperial park, across from the Prime Minister's office, in an area with plenty of offices but no atmosphere at all night time. That's okay. There are several subway lines at the station just around the corner (use exit 8), and a 20-30 minute walk will get you to Roppongi or Ginza. We stayed there for four nights and were very happy with our value for money. Rooms are rather small and beds rather hard as usual, but breakfast was slightly better than "Toyoko average".

During my two weeks' trip in Japan I needed a place to stay in Tokyo. A friend of mine tipped me on the Toyoko Inn chain of business hotels: comfortable, clean and easy on the wallet. Booking a room through their website was a breeze. My stay at the Tameike Sanno branch of Toyoko Inn was very pleasant. I made two visits, for a total of three nights. The staff was friendly and we managed to get by in English. Don't expect any luxury though, as the breakfast served is Japanese and quite spartan. Tip: if you're looking for a decent meal, there's a Coco Ichibanya curry restaurant around the corner. Tasty!

I have stayed at Tameike Sanno Toyoko Inn for 6-7 times, each time for 3-4 days. (Once, for two weeks) In addition to the great features of this big "business hotel chain" (see their website and read reviews for other Toyoko Inn hotels), I like its location- Across from Prime Minister's residence, away from noise and chaos, beautifully renewed subway station one min away (its building has restaurants, bars, delis, "convenient stores", Maruzen bookstore for English books, foot massage place, ATMs, and Starbucks) In a word, this neighborhood is much cleaner and sophisticated than those of other Toyoko Inn locations in Tokyo and it's hard to find a hotel of this quality at this price in the area. I will continue staying at Tameike Sanno Toyoko Inn for a few days stop in Tokyo before going to see my family.
