I love this hotel because its just walking distance to the tokyo subway station which is ideal when you still want to walk around Tokyo at nights. Its walking distance to lots of Japanese restaurants and cafes. There's also a KTV bar near if you want to sing your heart out. Their bed is so fantastic it has a genius... More

Tokyo is so vast and sprawling that it's not an easy task to pick out suitable accomodation. I decided on somewhere near Tokyo Station as I was going to be using the Narita Express to travel to and from Tokyo and also the Shinkansen for my trip across Japan. Hotel Ryumeikan had a very good rating and availability for the... More

Really easy to find (even with jet lag). Make sure you come out of Yaseu North exit, cross the road, turn left and it's about 2 mins walk (with luggage), hotel on the right, reception on 15th floor. It's an oasis if calm with Japanese high tech toilets. We economised on the smaller double, the room was quite small but... More

We picked this hotel for our brief stays in Tokyo at the beginning and end of our trip. It's very conveniently located near to Tokyo's main station, so for arrivals both by Shinkansen and the Narita Airport express service. Best exit for the hotel is Yaesu North, cross the road, then go left for about 100 yards. The reception is... More

I stayed 4 nights in the Hotel Ryumeikan in Tokyo. I booked a Forus room. The room is not huge but actually not bad for Tokyo standards. Let me start with the Amazing bed in the Forus room ... it lulls you to bed coordinating gentle vibration, synced with relazing music as well as light dimming. The bathroom is great,... More

If you're going to be in Tokyo for a couple nights and you want to stay out late in the more lively spots, I would suggest staying in Shibuya or Shinjuku instead of Chuo, but if you are looking for a convenient, comfortable place to stay on your way in or out of Tokyo, I think this hotel is perfect.... After 3 nights at the imperial palace, which was really O.T.T. for my tastes, this hotel came as a real nice surprise. The room are spacious, really well soundproofed and the location near Tokyo station is really practical. The service at the reception is a bit cold and intimidating : are 6 members of staff really required behind such a... More

We stayed overnight at the Ryumeikan, between flying in from Sydney and departing by Shinkansen for Kyoto the next morning. It's a great location, a short walk from Tokyo Station, with plenty of local restaurants. The reception was smoothly efficient, the staff helpful, charming and english speaking and the room was delightful. (NB We booked a standard double which was... More

The Hotel Ryumeikan is an excellent choice for visitors to Tokyo. It is located a few minutes’ walk from the Yaesu North exit of Tokyo Station (once you exit and cross the main street, turn left and walk three blocks). Tokyo Station is absolutely massive, but if you follow the signs to the Yaesu exit you’ll be fine. The hotel... More
