The location of the hotel was incredible, was literally in the middle of Tokyo. The metro was nearby and shopping could not be better. The room was very clean, not as big as we hoped but manageable. Everyone was very polite and eager to help. The gym room was very clean. An amazing value. Will stay there again in 6... more

To start off... the location! The hotel is literally right in the centre of Ginza and is surrounded by the best shopping districts. Additionally, I could walk to the fish market and Shibuya was a short subway ride away. Service - was impeccable, I've stayed at other Rosewoods in the US and at the Park Hyatt and 4Seasons (Marunouchi) in... more

I would agree with most of the reviews for the property; the majority of the service staff were exceptionally professional and helpful. I must note, however, that my experience with some of the front desk staff was not positive. On several different occasions, the front desk service were quite rude in their response to my requests. In one instance, I... more

This is a wonderful, elegant hotel, with a proud, efficient staff that goes out of their way to ensure your stay is exceptional. The rooms are lovely and calming--quiet with wonderful, large marble bathrooms. Dining room for breakfast is elegant and refined. This is a gem of an oasis in a large urban throng. It embodies understated elegance. Tones of... more

A great location and extraordinary service highlight this Ginza jewel, where modern, Western rooms compete with Japanese service de luxe. Expensive, but worth it. Room service was so-so, and the rooms are relatively small compared to the spacious bathrooms. I will stay at the Park Hyatt next time around, but would recommend the Seiyo Ginza for business travelers and first-timers... more

If you are looking for a room in the fancy shopping district of Ginza, then this is perhaps your hotel, but who really wants to shop in Tokyo? Except for rooms that are worn (and in urgent need of redecoration) and have no view (as the hotel is in a low-rise and surrounded by taller buildings), and overpriced restaurants the... more

OK where do I even begin. There are so many lovely, wonderful things about this hotel. First, the overall style: if you're looking for high-tech modern skyscrapers like the Park Hyatt, this hotel isn't for you. If you prefer a smaller hotel, with a classic, understated, quiet elegance, where you can relax and leave your stress behind, then don't stay... more

We've stayed a week at this wonderful hotel, and just extended another week. The location is superb, and the service is fantastic. The concierge has helped with a variety of issues, including airplane problems and restaurant reservations, and we've been consistently surprised and happy. Very kid friendly -- just ask our three kids! more

We were truly impressed by every aspect of this hotel, particular the superb unobtrusive service. The staff made us feel at home and the welcome so warm and personal it felt as if we were special guests in a friend's private chateau. Service was second to none and befitting of the typical Japanese hospitality and charm. We booked through the American... more

We stayed in Seiyo Ginza in January and again in August, 2006. On both occasions, we were delighted with the treatment we received. 1. The staff were exceptionally courteous and friendly in all their dealings with us. The rooms were spotless. 2. The location in Ginza was very convenient for us - close to restaurants, shopping, Tokyo central train station,... more
