The Mandarin Oriental Tokyo is the standard by which you can judge any other hotel in the World. After having spent far too many nights in Hotels it is truly a wonderful experience to spent time at such a wonderful place. Travelling to Japan to 2 young children is not a choice many people would make for a holiday, however... more

The level of service I am continuosly receiving as a guest of the Mandarin Oriental is unmatched among any business hotel in Asia Pacific. From the welcome drink in the room, to the right adaptors being already in the room on arrival, the laundry bags already having my name on it, from basically all staff knowing my name to being... more

I think that this is the best property in Tokyo -- much better than both the Ritz and the Peninsula (2 other recent entries into the market). Best things about the property: - Impeccable modern Asian design - Great views of the city (even from the restrooms) - Top notch service that is a more flexible than most hotels in... more

A beautiful hotel...Of course it is still new. But I really like the décor of this hotel! The room was beautiful, too. I think we had the deluxe or premier deluxe (I don't remember). A basic room at this hotel, but it was nice enough! Impeccable room and bed and bathroom...so far this was the best I have ever stayed.... more

Amazing staff, views of Tokyo. Conde Naste did article on 10 best consigners in the world---the gentleman who was ours, Adam--yes he was one . Bamboo flooring, several TV's, phone in each room. The gentleman at the reception area had us booked fpr our ride back to the airport by the time my husband turned around to ask him to... more

The Mandarin Oriental chain opened this new hotel in Dec 2005 on top of the Mitsui tower in the Nihombashi district (located North-East from the Imperial Palace). Naturally the views are superb (especially in the evening) with the lobby & main bar being at the top floor and the rooms being located below. The rooms are very well appointed with... more

The hotel is perfect in every detail - the service, the decor, the view over Tokyo, the restaurants and bars. The hotel is at the top of the building between the 31st and 38th floor. This means that every floor has a great view. The only downside is that you have to go up to 38th floor before going back... more

We love Japan. It's the cleanest, safest, most polite country on Earth. It's the only place I know of where in a few hours you can move from a 300 year old world famous ryokan to a high rise temple of modernity. That's exactly what we did when we left Tawaraya in Kyoto and caught the Shikansen to the Mandarin... more

Just returned from a vacation in Japan. The Mandarin was an excellent hotel. Nice views from the lobby and main rooms. We had a Dynasty Suite with a formal living room and separate bedroom ... wide views of Tokyo in both rooms. Decor was dark contemporary, very nice finishes. The staff was most accommodating. I would recommend this hotel if... more
