This is a great alternative to the monochrome luxury hotels that abound Tokyo. It is in a very cool little area with an abundance of vintage clothes and furniture shops, as well as restaurants. The food in the hotel itself is also very good, as is the atmosphere of the bar area...great for a drink after dinner. The rooms are... More

an oasis of calm and peace in a great city. the room was striking the right balance between design and comfort. this hotel is a unique tokyo experience if you want to get away from the big towerblock hotel experience. handy for ebisu and shibuya with enough interest in close proximity to spend an afternoon wandering about and sampling real... Claska hotel was very helpful from the very beginning. They have immediately answered my email with the detailed information on the hotel rooms, additionally helping to reserve the restaurants which were not even at the dates when I stayed at this very hotel. The concierge has organized for us an excellent pick-up service from the airport, and upon entering the... More

The staff here are very friendly, lovely people. We stayed in a more traditional Japanese style on our arrival and it was great. Good toiletries and a friendly toilet that kept raising its lid each time we walked into the bathroom. This room was nice and quiet it was on the fifth floor and was a bit more expensive so... More

I had a short stay here (one of their smaller rooms - 506) in January. It’s a 20 minute walk to Meguro Station, or quicker if you catch a bus, and from there … Tokyo is your oyster. There’s an offbeat design feel around Meguro itself, a few furniture and design stores. The hotel itself follows a similar hip design... More

We stayed at this hotel last year and absolutely loved it. The location is a little out of the city centre, but still a very central area (less than 10 mins into the beating heart of Tokyo). The surrounding area is lovely, with loads of very cool furniture shops, great restaurants and quirky shops. We found it a great introduction... More

I walked in, and was greeted by name – that was a good feeling. Not only were front desk staff well-groomed, they were helpful and had a variety of maps to make sure I didn't get lost. I stayed at the DIY rooms, and it was like being part of an installation piece. Really novel. Everything in the room has... More

We checked in for our last night in Japan and - given the photos - were looking forward to staying at Claska. It was even better than expected and worth the price. Rooms are super (had 606 - parents and 403 - for the 3 kids); staff is very friendly and helpful. Next time we'll reserve more time for staying... More

The Claska is an entire experience - lovely rooms, restaurant, gallery and shop. My husband and I stayed for 5 nights with our 6 year old and the staff went out their way to make our son's stay - including free DVDs and showering him with affection. Each room has its own interior design scheme so we sure to go... More

The Claska is an absolute delight! I love, love, love this hotel and it is a unique Tokyo experience. Everything about this hotel works. The service is absolutely first rate and all the staff are wonderful. I've stayed in two different type of rooms - the traditional ryokan style and the western. Both are great, but I'd have to recommend... More
