Generally, I like serviced residences compared to hotel when I travel with children n to cities that is crowded n has small hotel rooms. Somerset ronponggi is ideal. It's near to subway Hibiya line and is close to most of the amenities 7-11, a convenience store is just next door . As this is accommodation for long term stay, u... More

For my third trip to Tokyo I knew I wanted an apartment with a balcony so that I could get (vaguely) fresh air as I loathe sleeping in aircon, which most places only seem to offer and with our son in tow, needed a separate bedroom. The Somerset apartment was so perfect, we even had a brilliant view of the... More

The Somerset Roppongi offered a convenient walk to my office and that was about it. As other reviewers have noted, there's one, small elevator and the corridors to the rooms are outside and next to an elevated roadway. The laundry is down in the basement through a long, depressing corridor and the breakfast seemed to consist of coffee and white... More

We'd spent a night in a different hotel before we moved to Somerset, and the difference was vast! Even though Somerset was much cheaper for a 2 bedroom suite compared to a 1 bedroom suite in the previous hotel, it was much more spacious, much more comfortable, much more well equipped and just perfectly 5 star. The place itself may... More

Spacious comfortable rooms. Helpful staff, even a cake in the room on my partners birthday. Minutes from Roppongi Crossing & right above a shop with stunning city views. Would happily stay here again. More

My fiancee and I stayed at the Somerset when visiting Tokyo for a week to attend a wedding and do some sightseeing. As a former expat who lived in Tokyo for 16 years, I can tell you this is an excellent option for lodging during a trip to Tokyo. Despite being near a highway the rooms are extremely quiet and... We opted to stay in an apartment style accommodation rather than a hotel. We chose correctly as it felt we were actually living in Japan rather than staying there. It may not be fancy but suited us just fine. Housekeeping comes in everyday. It's located within an easy walk to the Metro and taxi's are plentiful. It's very near a... More

We stayed there for one week with our family. As we are repeating customers to Ascott hotel in U.K., we expected the same quality. However, we realized there was a big gap between what we had upon arrival and what we saw on their website. Their rooms definitively needed renovation. As they had only one elevator, it arrived so slowly... More

We loved this place, great location, staff were really helpful and a really good free breakfast too. It was like having an apartment, which made it very relaxing and the views were great. More

We stayed in a 5 star hotel in upmarket Tokyo ( paid by husband's company since he was there on business) before moving to Somerset Roppongi on our budget. I must say despite reading the negative reviews, I was still taken aback at the not very charming location of the hotel. The taxi driver had difficulty finding the hotel so... More
