While the owners are very friendly and helpful, this is one of the most minimalistic hostels I have ever stayed in. Sure, the location is great when wanting to explore Nakano and Shinjuku, but these areas can be reached from other sides of the city (like Asakusa) where there are more hostel options to choose from, for basically the same... I come to Yadoya really overlate, cause my flight to Japan landed on 10pm. But the staff really accept me friendly and give me clean and warm room. If I come to Japan again, sure I love to stay in here again. (^^)

The staff was incredibly helpful with showing me things to do and how toget places. The hostel had food and game nights for members to hang out. The rooms were small but the beds were very comfy. It was a very welcoming community especially for a solo traveler.

My partner and I stayed in the Ninja semi-double room for 2 nights and moved to an 8-person dorm room for 1 night. The semi double tatami mat room was very, very crammed.
