I'm a frequent traveler to Tokyo and by far, this has been the best budget place I've stayed in Tokyo. Mrs. Chen, the owner, is welcoming and it's best if you speak Mandarin (she's Taiwanese origin) to converse with her. THI has 2 different locations in Ikebukuro. We booked the apartment right next to the Ikebukuro North Exit for 12,000 yens a night for 4 of us. This apartment is about 100 meters away from the station and so you can expect to have train noise all the way till night time. If you close both windows, it is bearable.... more
