Just 30 sec walk to the hotel from JR station, across the street there is a supermarket in the B/F, and good restaurants upstair. Silent and clean district, good for girls travel alone. Breakfast buffet is included, many variety of drinks. Simple breakfast, eggs and breads, yogurt, I think it is good enough. Room is a bit bigger then others in Tokyo. I lived in AMP before.Plus it is Clean and tidy. There are plenty daily use items you can get them for free in the lobby, such as cleanser, bath salt, brush, moisturiser... Smoking rooms is not preferred cos the smell is very strong, so if you are a smokers, better choose a non smoking room and smoke outside the hotel.

This hotel is truly located in an absolutely PERFECT location. I say this as a person who has lived in Tokyo for half my life and just visited after 20 years. It's next to the Mejiro station off the Yamanote Line. Shinjuku is a 7 min ride, Shibuya is a 11 minute ride, Ikebukuro is a 2 min ride. Mainly for travellers from North America, please keep the following in mind: Tokyo is a densely populated city and as such most of the Japanese hotels are going to be small and not just small; very small. Same is true for this hotel. If you are used to the standard US brands where you have a good 300+ square feet of space and that is what you absolutely want, this hotel isn't for you then. Location wise: It is RIGHT NEXT to the train station. No stairs, etc. required. There's an elevator that takes you from the platform to the street level if you have bags and there's also an escalator. You walk out of the station, turn right and the next building is the hotel. If you travel with one or two suitcases then you know lugging that around can be a pain. This location takes that pain away. The rooms are tiny. The bed is between a US queen and US king and there is not much room to open your bags. If you are the kind who likes to travel as a couple and carry as much luggage as you possibly can, you will find the rooms tiny and will be disappointed. Famililes of 3 or more should get more than one room. If you are a vegetarian, I would skip the breakfast (book without breakfast) as almost everything has some sort of fish/animal extract. There's a WONDERFUL bakery right across and some restaurants you can use. There is a Family Mart convenience store that has all sorts of goodies. There is also a really good Japanese Curry restuarant called Coco Curry which is about a 5 minute walk from the hotel. If you've never tried Japanese curry, this is the place to try it.

My wife found this, close to central train line, quiet, friendly staff; perfect. Nice breakfast, mix of western and Japanese, go with it. Your in japan the room size is standard, but why stay in the room? If you want a refuge steps away from a station that can get you there, stay here.

I’m writing this review on our last night of 8 here. My first time here but my husband has stayed once before. We came to this hotel as we hire a car and getting a hotel with parking near Tokyo is very hard, but we also use the train a lot and this is also perfect for that - literally a 30 second walk from the station. Previously my husband has stayed here in a twin room which he says was not a bad size, this time we have a double room and it is very small - the smallest I have stayed in while in Japan, the double bed is up to the wall on one side so you have to get in bed from the bottom or crawl over your partner if they’re already in bed, there’s some hanging space but no draws so unpacking is difficult (I didn’t completely unpack, just got stuff out as needed) there’s not really even anywhere to put your case but we found a nook at the end of the desk to put one of the cases. As the days have gone by we have got used to our little room, we would return to this hotel but would choose to pay extra for a bigger room if that’s an option. Breakfast is ok, unfortunately I’m not a very adventurous eater so it was toast every day for me but if you like Japanese breakfast then I’m sure you’ll have a daily feast! There is scrambled egg but I got to the point by the 3rd day where I couldn’t eat it again - luckily I had bought peanut butter with me but there is jam available. Back to the room... bathroom is small but it doesn’t need to be big, toilet, bath and shower- all toiletries supplied, lovely smelling body wash, shampoo and conditioner, also in the bathroom basket are razors, Alice band, earbuds, cotton pads, toothbrush’s, bath salts and combs so if you forget anything you’re covered! And there’s a hair dryer. There’s a kettle and cups in the room, you can help yourself to delicious coffee in reception but there’s no tea bags. There’s a fridge in the room and a family mart right over the road so you can get milk and water. I would say this is mainly a business hotel but it was perfect for us as tourist. We will stay here again and I would recommend it.

A family friend arranged the room for me, as my existing lodgings were not in a convenient location for my trip. The room was small but completely sufficient for what I needed. This hotel is directly above the Mejiro subway station, right on the Yamanote subway line. Included with my room were breakfast tickets for the restaurant on the main floor. At the buffet you could help yourself to Japanese or Western style breakfast options - fantastic for my jet-lagged stomach! All-in-all, a pleasant stay.

This is a business hotel in a relatively quiet location, with good connections to buses and trains, making it easy to reach any destination in Tokyo. It's not a luxury hotel so room was small but everything worked except wi-fi, which was intermittent. The staff were helpful restoring a connection. They are also terribly polite but not so willing to help with luggage. Facilities are adequate, but it would have been nice to have somewhere to put clothes besides on hangers. We stayed for 2 weeks so didn't want to leave our clothes in our cases - I emptied a cupboard containing a kettle to put my T-shirts in. There is a coin laundry on the top floor and plenty of convenience stores and restaurants nearby. Because our stay was fairly long, it would have been nice to see a little variety in the breakfast buffet but again, I would describe it as adequate. (May I suggest some fruit or fruit coulis to put in my yogurt?) The beds were comfortable and the shower nice and strong, the toilet wonderful, as most modern ones in Japan are now. I would stay here again because of the location, and on the whole, I was satisfied but I think there could be some improvements made.

Stayed 3 nights in June. Rather basic and dated room. Very poor wifi connection in room. Convenient location next to a JR Station. My room was not facing the railway and it was already pretty noisy when the express train was passing through. Window could be opened slightly to let fresh air in. Breakfast was adequate. Good value for money if you don't need luxury.

I have stayed at Mets Mejiro Hotel twice. Both time my stay has been pleasant. It is very convenient to Gakushuin University across the street. The hotel also is very convenient to the JR line so there is easy access to the train system. It is on Mejiro Dori, a major street, with access to convenience stores, restaurants, bars, a grocery store and other conveniences. The hotel rooms are small but clean and business oriented. The staff are professional although few can speak English. I like this hotel. I will probably stay there in my next business trip to the Tokyo area.

The hotel is located right next to the Mejiro station, which was such a blessing as we were travelling with quite a bit of luggage. Mejiro is also on the Yamanote line which connects some of the major areas of Tokyo together, one stop away from Ikebukuro and 25 minutes away from Tokyo station—which is convenient. So if you're looking for a reasonably priced place to stay that's also really accessible, look no further! On the other hand, we booked the room a little late and ended up with a smoking room as non-smokers... That was not very nice. The room is a bit small and with two pieces of luggage, it was really difficult to maneuver around the room and get to the washroom. So the room itself was not so great. Yet, the washroom was really quite a nice experience. The shower was nice and string and they provided properly sized shampoos, conditioners, and body wash. I rarely enjoy showering in hotels but this was quite different. Another cool feature is that the mirror has a special area that doesn't fog up, which was a really nice thought. All in all, some good and some bad but the staff were friendly and the room was acceptable I even if it was small, so quite an average experience by my books.

There are basically 2 hotels in Mejiro and this is one of them. First, Mejiro is always my favourite place for accommodation when I visit Tokyo. It's on the JR Yamanote Line, 3 stops from Shinjuku and 1 stop from Ikebukuro. So, it's very convenient for going to almost all places (shopping, museum, and sight-seeing) in Central Tokyo. And Yet, Mejiro is in a quiet neighbourhood, meaning you won't get into the crowd you find in Shinjuku or Shibuya. Even in the busy hours, you'll find it easy to get on and off the train there and recharge your Suica in a relaxed pace. Second, Hotel Mets is just 1-minute's walk from the station. There's only one exit and you walk out and then turn right. You'll find the hotel right there. Third, it's basic and the room is typical Japanese business hotel. Ideal for travelling alone. You have free internet, mbile chargers, TV (not a lot of choice, though), toilet supplies, and other basic things. It's clean and well maintained. The only weakness is its breakfast. It's getting less interesting in the past 2 years (probably because I normally don't look for the Japanese breakfast option). I stay in both hotels in Mejiro. My choice depends very much on price and availability. Hotel Mets alwats meets my needs.
