Stayed here for my final night in Japan during a three week holiday and it was fantastic. Staff were pleasant, cheerful and helpful and the room was spacious and comfortable. All mod cons in the room too. The futon was brilliantly comfortable. Easy to get to from Asakusa metro station which is on the Ginza line. Take exit 1 and... More

This ryokan is a very short walk from the Asakusa metro station and bang in the center of this charming part of town with the Sensoji temple. Yes, the rooms are small and expensive for that but hey, this is Tokyo. The room has a screened sitting area that we could use when the kids slept early. We had 3... More

We stayed for three nights in mid - March 2013. The location is just meters from the main strip and Sensoji Temple but is very quiet. Asakusa is a beautiful part of Tokyo for visitors and captures old Japan so you can safely walk around day or night. The shopping and street food is also great. The rooms are Japanese... More

Great to be located in this fascinating part of Tokyo. It was actually our first time in Japan and obviously first time in a Ryokan, so a totally new experience. This seemed to be a small hotel of ryokan rooms, rather than a stand alone privately run ryokan that we stayed in later on in the trip. I have never... More

I wanted an authentic Japanese experience and so decided to stay in a Ryokan. This limits the areas of Japan you can stay in quite considerably as the Ryokans seem only to be found in the older, more traditional areas of Tokyo such as Asakusa. After extensive research I selected the Ryokan Kamogawa due to its location (very close to... More

If it is your first trip to Japan, this is a good Ryokan to stay. It is reasonably priced and is literally steps away from one of the most famous locations all the tours will take you -- Asakusa. The rooms are actually on the larger side of what other ryokans will offer. It is very comfortable and staff are... More

Great location right in the heart of old Tokyo, surrounded by small restaurants, izakaya and many temples. The rooms are very large and bathrooms are a good size at a very reasonable price given the amenities. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Beds were ready for us when we arrived which we discovered is not necessarily the norm in... More

Me and my family (7 people in total) stayed in this ryokan (japanese style hotel) for 7 nights and all was ok and confortable... Rooms was clean, staff was really helpful and kind... The area around for us is one of best area you can stay in Tokyo...you can have all together: 1) Skytree tower + complex stores 2) Asakusa... More

Travelling with young children, we really appreciated the fact that this place is in a great spot, just a few minutes walk from the subway. We stayed 6 nights, and for 3 of them we were lucky enough to be in one of the larger rooms that face the street which was really great. The other 3 nights were spent... More

Thank you for choosing us and writing a good review. We need to agree with our guests that our small room is really small size that the maximum for this room is 2 adults. So if your group has many people, we strongly recommend the larger room. We hope to welcome you again someday. Thank you. More

Great little place. It is just a block away from the shopping area that leads up to the Sensoji Temple. There are also many other shopping areas in the surrounding blocks as well as many cheap places to eat. The subway is just a few blocks away right outside the temple gates. The staff is very helpful but not all... More
